The reveal
Logged in is not enough.
Copying the username is one click. Revealing the password sends a six-digit code to your own email — five minutes to use it, thirty minutes of access once you do. On entries marked for management approval, the code goes to your directors instead, and you have to ask them for it.
A revealed password blurs itself after ninety seconds idle, the moment the window loses focus, and the moment you switch tabs. Signing out ends the unlock outright.

How it works
Vault, end to end.
-
01
A manager adds an entry: website, address, username, registered email, the mobile the site texts, the password, notes and files
-
02
It is encrypted before it is stored
-
03
Anyone with access searches, finds it, and copies the username with one click
-
04
To reveal the password they request a six-digit code, which arrives at their own email and lasts five minutes
-
05
On entries marked for management approval, the code goes to the directors instead, who decide whether to pass it on
-
06
A revealed password hides itself after ninety seconds idle or when the window loses focus
What's inside
Deliberately small. Specific about what it protects.
The vault
One list, searched live across website, address, username, registered email and notes — never the password. One-click copy for username, registered email, mobile and address. Categories you configure.
Reveal
A six-digit code to your own email, valid five minutes, buying a thirty-minute unlock. Signing out ends it immediately. Requests are limited to five a minute per person. On the live customer’s vault, virtually every entry uses the director-approval setting.
Management approval
Mark an entry "require management authentication" and the code goes to your directors and administrators rather than to the requester, who has to ask them for it. A stolen Ovvos session does not become a readable vault.
Files and the record
Attach licence keys and certificates up to 5 MB; they are encrypted before they are written, stored away from the public web, and downloading one needs the same verification as the password. Every change to a username, registered email or password is logged in plain English and emailed to the roles you choose — and the password itself is never in either.
The difference
Your most serious accounts need a person’s permission, not a mailbox.
Director-gated approval on individual secrets is genuinely unusual, and it does not need dressing up. Knowing someone’s Ovvos password is not enough to walk away with the company’s credentials, because a second, separate thing — a mailbox, or a director — stands between a logged-in session and a readable secret.
Questions
Asked about Vault.
Can Ovvos read our passwords?
Yes, in principle — and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Passwords are encrypted with the application’s key, not one derived from your own password, so this is not zero-knowledge encryption. What encryption at rest buys you is that a copy of the database is not a copy of your passwords. What the codes buy you is that a stolen session is not a readable vault.
What happens if someone’s Ovvos account is compromised?
They still cannot read a password without also reading that person’s email, because the code is sent there. On entries marked for management approval, they cannot read it even then — the code goes to your directors.
Do you record who looked at what?
We record every change — created, username changed, registered email changed, password changed — with who and when. We do not currently record who read a password.
Does this replace a consumer password manager?
No. There is no browser extension, autofill or phone app. Vault is for the logins that belong to the business rather than to a person, kept where your team already works.
Shared with every Ovvos tool
One login, one look. The same frame, lists, alerts, light and dark mode and two densities across the whole platform. Learn one tool and you know them all.
One inbox. Anything that needs a person — a new lead, a leave request, a failed check — lands in one platform-wide inbox with a link straight to the record.
Your company only. Every screen, report and export is limited to your own company, enforced on every request — not by hiding buttons.
Your own copy. Most tools are generated per department: name it, choose its icon, grant your people. Two teams can run the same tool and never see each other's data.
