Board

Task management

Tasks that belong to a department, not a person.

Raise work against a department and it reaches the right manager automatically — then moves through review, rework and sign-off, with the working hours counted at every step.

Board is a task management tool built around departments rather than individuals. A task is raised against a department, its manager receives it and assigns it, the assignee hands it up for review, and only the person who asked for the work can mark it finished. Every stage change is timed in the company’s own working hours.

The route

Raised against a department. Finished by whoever asked.

Every hand-off is logged and timed in your own working hours.

How it works

Board, end to end.

  1. 01

A task is created against a department and given a readable number like T-SALES-001

  2. 02

The department’s manager receives it — or the nominated stand-in if the manager is away

  3. 03

The manager assigns it; the assignee does the work and hands it up

  4. 04

The manager approves it onward or sends it back for rework, with a comment

  5. 05

The person who asked for the work signs it off — nobody else can call it done

  6. 06

Every stage change is timed in working hours and written to the activity log

What's inside

Plain on purpose. It is the tool people live in.

Dashboards by role

Your own view — needing assignment, assigned to me, created by me — and, for managers, the same for your departments. Directors and administrators see the whole company. A filterable list of all tasks with seven filters: search, status, department, assignee, tag, due-from and due-to.

The task

Details, comments, attachments stored privately, tags and an activity log with ten kinds of recorded action — who assigned, who changed status, who commented, who attached what. A sub-task is a full task with its own number, department, manager and review, and can never be due after its parent.

Time where it actually goes

Every move between the six fixed stages is timed in your own working hours, on your own working week — a Sunday-to-Thursday week is fully supported. Reports show completion rate, status and department breakdowns, average completion time and the average wait for a manager, for a review and in progress.

Recurring work and notifications

Six recurrence patterns from daily to yearly; each new copy appears early enough to plan for and the series can be stopped at any moment. Five branded emails carrying your own logo, an in-app feed grouped by kind, and an entry in the one Ovvos inbox that collects everything from every tool.

The difference

"Done" is not self-declared.

The assignee hands the work up, the manager checks it, and only the person who originally asked for it can call it finished. That one rule removes the argument about whether something was done — because done is defined by whoever asked. And the clock behind it counts your working hours, not calendar time that includes weekends.

Questions

Asked about Board.

Can two departments run their own copy?

Yes. Each copy of Board is a separate application with its own data, settings and users, and two copies run side by side on the platform today, owned by different companies.

What happens when a manager is on leave?

Each department can nominate a temporary manager who receives that department’s tasks in the manager’s place. Directors can also step into any task’s workflow directly, including signing work off when the requester is unreachable.

Does the time tracking count evenings and weekends?

No. You set working hours for each day of the week, including which days are working days at all, and only those hours are counted, in your own timezone.

Can an ordinary user see everyone’s tasks?

No. A plain user sees only tasks they created or were assigned. A manager additionally sees their departments’ work. Only directors and administrators see everything.

Shared with every Ovvos tool

One login, one look. The same frame, lists, alerts, light and dark mode and two densities across the whole platform. Learn one tool and you know them all.

One inbox. Anything that needs a person — a new lead, a leave request, a failed check — lands in one platform-wide inbox with a link straight to the record.

Your company only. Every screen, report and export is limited to your own company, enforced on every request — not by hiding buttons.

Your own copy. Most tools are generated per department: name it, choose its icon, grant your people. Two teams can run the same tool and never see each other's data.
