Two lists
Who has read it. Who hasn’t yet.
Publishing does three things at once: emails every person on the recipient list, drops an item in each of their Ovvos inboxes, and freezes the wording so it can never quietly change. From then on, every time someone opens it, their name moves from one list to the other.
"Read" means opened — a view receipt, not a signed acknowledgement. We say so because the difference matters.
How it works
Broadcast, end to end.
-
01
An administrator names the people allowed to post, and defines departments and metadata dropdowns
-
02
A poster drafts an announcement — it always saves as a draft first
-
03
They attach documents up to 20 MB and tag it with your metadata
-
04
They target everyone, or named departments
-
05
They publish: every recipient is emailed and gets an inbox item; the wording is now frozen
-
06
One screen shows two lists — who has read it, and who has not yet
What's inside
Everything exists to make two lists trustworthy.
Composing
A draft workspace with attachment upload and your own metadata dropdowns — type, category, whatever your business uses. Publishing is a separate, confirmed step. Published announcements cannot be edited, by design.
The feed
Newest first, with drafts visible only to posters. Search covers the headline, the body and the names of attached documents. Attachment-count and metadata badges on every card.
Read tracking
Opening an announcement records a receipt against that person. The poster or an administrator opens one screen and sees who has viewed it and who has not.
Reach and control
A branded email with your logo and the display name you choose, an item in the platform inbox, an unread counter on the home page. Only administrators can delete a published announcement, behind a strong confirmation. Rename the tool itself so staff see your name for it.
The difference
Publishing is final.
A published notice cannot be quietly edited afterwards. If the message changes, everyone gets a new one — which is what makes a read receipt worth anything. Most companies announce things twice and prove nothing; Broadcast announces once and shows you the two lists.
Questions
Asked about Broadcast.
Can I schedule an announcement for later?
Not today. Publishing is immediate — you draft, review, and publish when you are ready. A draft can sit as long as you like.
Can I edit an announcement after sending it?
No, and that is deliberate. Once published, the wording is fixed, so what people were sent is what the record shows. If something is wrong, an administrator can delete it and you publish a correction.
Does targeting a department hide the announcement from everybody else?
No. Targeting decides who gets the email and whose unread count it appears in. The board is open to everyone who has the tool. Broadcast is for company announcements, not confidential distribution.
What exactly does "read" mean?
That the person opened the announcement. It is a view receipt, not a signed acknowledgement.
Shared with every Ovvos tool
One login, one look. The same frame, lists, alerts, light and dark mode and two densities across the whole platform. Learn one tool and you know them all.
One inbox. Anything that needs a person — a new lead, a leave request, a failed check — lands in one platform-wide inbox with a link straight to the record.
Your company only. Every screen, report and export is limited to your own company, enforced on every request — not by hiding buttons.
Your own copy. Most tools are generated per department: name it, choose its icon, grant your people. Two teams can run the same tool and never see each other's data.
Publish one announcement in the demo.
Target one department, open it from a second account, and watch the name move from one list to the other.
