Your catalogue, your shape
Sections and fields are configured per copy of the tool, so a company selling interactive displays and one selling industrial pumps each get a sheet that reads like it was designed for their category. One live catalogue runs 21 sections and 177 fields.
Generate
A type-ahead picker adds as many slots as you need. The comparison table renders live as you pick. Rows where the products agree, or where only one has data, are answered by the tool itself and never sent to AI.
Branding and output
Eight document colours with a live preview, a header logo, footer contact line, footer fields and a QR code you set once. Logo, QR and every product image are embedded inside the PDF so it renders anywhere.
The repository
Every produced sheet is stored, one per product combination — regenerate and the newer file takes its place. Logos, photos and PDFs are held privately and released only after an access check. Zero emails, zero background jobs: nothing to configure and nothing running behind you.
The difference
The sheet matches your category, because you defined it.
Spec does not ship a fixed list of "screen size, weight, warranty" and ask you to bend your products into it. The sections and fields belong to your copy of the tool — and the optional AI line per row says what the difference actually means to a buyer, which is the part a salesperson normally improvises on a call.

Can I import my product catalogue from a spreadsheet?
Not today. Products and their specification values are entered in the tool, and an existing product can be duplicated as the starting point for the next model.
Do I need an AI account to use this?
No. AI comparison notes are optional and off unless you configure them. Without a key, Spec produces the same branded sheet without the notes column. If you want notes, you connect your own OpenAI key and choose the model.
What does the AI actually see?
Only the specification names, the values for the products you selected, the product titles and part numbers, and any house instructions you have written. Rows where the products agree, and rows where only one has a value, are never sent.
Can I send a customer a link instead of a file?
No. Spec produces a PDF you download and send yourself. There is no public link.
