What's inside
One library. Your team and your customers.
Authoring
A rich-text editor, metadata, a category picker, attachments and videos with upload progress, and version history on every edit with author and change note. Categories reorder and re-parent with a click and every level shows how many articles sit beneath it.
The public help centre
A hero with instant search, a category directory and popular articles, on your own web address with your own title and logo. Article pages carry attachments with a preview, tags, helpful and not-helpful feedback, and related articles. Drafts and hidden categories return "not found" to the public, including their attachments — and including to signed-in users from any other company.
Sixteen languages
Translate on demand through your own Google, DeepL, Microsoft or OpenAI account, tested with one click. Give Handbook the terms that must never be translated — product names, model numbers — and they come back intact. Right-to-left languages flip the whole page. Each translation is cached per article and refreshed only when you edit it, so the second reader costs nothing.
Analytics with a to-do list
Views, visitors, searches and feedback over 7, 30 or 90 days, top categories and articles, geography — and the searches that returned nothing, surfaced on your dashboard as a queue of articles to write.
The difference
You learn what is missing, not just what is popular.
Every search on the help centre is logged, and the ones that returned nothing appear on your dashboard as content gaps — the exact questions your customers asked that you have not answered yet. That queue is the roadmap for the knowledge base.
Questions
Asked about Handbook.
Is the help centre really public — does a customer need an account?
No account, no password, no invitation. Published articles are readable by anyone with the link and crawlable by search engines. Anything left as a draft or filed under an unpublished category returns "not found", and so do its attachments.
How does the translation work, and who pays for it?
You connect your own account with Google, DeepL, Microsoft or OpenAI. When a reader picks a language the article is translated through your provider and cached, so the same article in the same language is never paid for twice. Terms you list as untranslatable come through untouched. If the provider is unavailable, the reader gets the English article.
Can I get an old version of an article back?
Every edit that changes the title or body is kept as a numbered version with its author and a change note, and you can open and read any of them. Restoring one is a copy-and-paste today, not a button.
Can I make one person write and another approve?
Not yet. Anyone you give access can write, edit, publish and delete. There is a "needs review" status you can use as a working convention, but it is a label, not a gate.
Shared with every Ovvos tool
One login, one look. The same frame, lists, alerts, light and dark mode and two densities across the whole platform. Learn one tool and you know them all.
One inbox. Anything that needs a person — a new lead, a leave request, a failed check — lands in one platform-wide inbox with a link straight to the record.
Your company only. Every screen, report and export is limited to your own company, enforced on every request — not by hiding buttons.
Your own copy. Most tools are generated per department: name it, choose its icon, grant your people. Two teams can run the same tool and never see each other's data.
Publish your first article live.
We paste one of your PDFs into Handbook during the demo, publish it, and read it back in Arabic.
